The Lake Erie Watershed Protection Alliance (LEWPA) was awarded funding from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) through the Environmental Protection Fund (EPF) to implement water quality improvement and protection projects in the watershed.
The first contract between NYSDEC and LEWPA was a four-year contract. Annual reports are as follows.

Annual Report 2020: Year 3 FY 2017-2018 projects underway in 2019

Annual Report 2023: Year 4 FY 2018-2019 projects completed in 2021
