Putting the Neighbor Back in the Hood
Saturday, August 8, 2026, 11am - 6pm
Join us for the 30th annual "Putting The Neighbor Back In The Hood" event, a weekend of events geared towards celebrating the neighbors and community around Masjid Nu’Man. PTNBH has been recognized and awarded by the mayor and city of Buffalo for improving community relationships. Now over two decades strong, PTNBH has become a staple in the Fillmore district and continues to grow every year.
There are activities for all ages!

Good for the Neighborhood: Lackawanna

Join us at Good for the Neighborhood event with the Lackawanna City School District.
Good for the Neighborhood is a free, community-based wellness event that brings a variety of organizations right to your neighborhood. At each event, participants leave with a produce bag filled with ingredients to prepare a healthy meal, information on community organizations that provide the help you are looking for, and so much more!

Overdose Awareness Day 2026 ECDOH
Monday, August 31, 2026, 4pm - 6pm
Stop by the ECLIPSE Table to learn more about the Erie County’s ECLIPSE Program! ECLIPSE provides a 10% discount on future electric bills by participating in community solar. Bring your electric bill (not disconnection notice) and an email! All are welcome!
Overdose Awareness Day is an international event that celebrates the lives of community members that we have lost to overdose and works to advocate for additional supports and services for this community. This year Erie County brings together service providers, direct support staff, peers, community members and their families to learn about services available through a health fair style tabling. Then during the second half of the event, we commemorate the lives lost by having few speakers and reading off the names of those passed. We provide food and fun activities for the children to partake in.
