Join us at the Community Health Center of Buffalo to sign up for the 2025-26 Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP). HEAP may be able to help you if you heat your home with: electricity, natural gas, oil, coal, propane, wood/pellets, kerosene or corn Eligibility and benefits are based on income, household size, the primary heating source, and the presence of a household member who is under age 6, age 60 or older or permanently disabled. Join us with the WNY Clean Energy Hub at the Kenmore Branch Library! This event will take place from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. "Watt's Up with Your Electric bill?" Lancaster Senior Center

Friday, December 5, 2025, 3pm - 4:30pm

Curious about how your electric bill works—and how to reduce it? Join us for a free, easy-to-understand class designed especially for seniors. We’ll break down how to read and understand your electric utility bill, your rights as a residential electric customer, community solar is and how it can help you save money (—without installing panels on your home!) and the Erie County ECLIPSE Program which helps residents reduce electricity costs. Please bring a recent electric bill with you! We'll use it as a hands-on example so you can leave feeling informed and confident.
 
Whether you want to save money, protect your rights, or better understand your energy use, this class is for you. Visit erie.gov/eclipse to learn more about the program ahead of time!
