Disability Pride Festival to Enhance Accessibility and Inclusion with Momentum Refresh
Momentum Refresh's mobile restrooms will offer amenities that support people with disabilities,
disabled veterans, seniors and others with limited mobility, and families.
Buffalo, NY — July 24, 2026 — Momentum Refresh and the New York Power Authority and Canal Corporation (NYPA and Canals) are teaming up to enhance accessibility and inclusion at this year’s Disability Pride Festival hosted by WNY Independent Living on July 24, 2026.
The Power Authority is providing financial support to bring the first universally designed, fully accessible and ADA compliant mobile restroom and universal changing space in the United States to the festival, which will run from 2pm -7pm.
Momentum Refresh is equipped with a powered, height-adjustable adult-sized changing table, adjustable-height sink and toilet with bidet including height and width adjustable grab bars, a ceiling hoist for safe and easy transfers, and a vehicle lift, setting a new standard in redefining public restroom accessibility.
“We are thrilled to be addressing accessibility and inclusion in such a meaningful way by bringing Momentum Refresh to the Disability Pride Festival,” said Alyson Danielewicz, and Darby Racey, co-managers of NYPA and Canals’ Accessibility Education Program (AEP). “Everyone deserves the opportunity to enjoy everything the Disability Pride Festival has to offer, and this addition ensures that more people in our county and surrounding areas can do just that.”

This innovation aligns with WNY Independent Living’s ongoing commitment to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all visitors, including individuals and families who have historically faced challenges when attending large public events.
