Course Overview: 

August 27th, 2025 8 Hours The use of alternate light sources (ALS) to locate evidence is well-established, but the latest technology can offer significant improvements in effectiveness and efficiency. This hands-on course covers light theory as well as ALS searching and photography techniques using Crime-lite forensic light sources. Attendees will practice ultraviolet (UV), visible, and infrared (IR) searching and photography techniques and are encouraged to bring along their own light sources regardless of manufacturer.

Training Objectives: 

Following this course, attendees will be able to: * Describe full-spectrum light theory * Explain how light is used to detect hidden evidence * Identify techniques for revealing fingerprints and blood * Demonstrate the use of the light to enhance evidence This course includes hands-on and practical exercises. A certificate will be awarded upon successful exam completion.
