This twenty-one-hour MPTC approved course is an initial course designed for sworn law enforcement officers who have completed the initial firearms training provided in the Basic Course for Police Officers. It provides law enforcement agencies across the state with a minimum patrol rifle training standard that will enhance public safety and enable agencies to be confident in the capabilities of members of their agencies. After successful completion of the course, the participant will receive a DCJS Patrol Rifle Course training certificate.

Four rifle magazines
600 rounds of rifle ammunition
100 rounds of handgun ammunition
Duty handgun
Three handgun magazines
Duty gun belt with handgun holster and ammunition pouch
Soft body armor
Eye protection
Ear protection
Baseball style hat
BDU style pants
Course Fee: Course fee of $225.00 per trainee includes all instructional materials and facility fees. Payment information will be sent to the email address listed on the registration form.
Note: The participant must be able to withstand difficult and repetitive shooting and movement associated with the handling of a patrol rifle.
