Welcome Farmers Market Season!
Check out the Erie Grown Site Locator to view a farmers market near you or check our the list below. When visiting a farmers market, don't forget to participate in the Erie Grown Passport. You can get double Passport points for visiting the market and purchasing from a local farmer.
Why support farmers markets?
Farmers markets are an important component of our local food system. They both offer us in-season and local produce while supporting our local farmers and economy. There's also a green benefit! Local produce doesn't have to travel as far to get to market and has a smaller carbon footprint. Similarly, there's typically less packaging and food-related waste associated with hyper-local purchasing.
