Buffalo and Erie County Local Food Action Plan (BECLFAP)

About the Buffalo and Erie County Local Food Action Plan (BECLFAP)

The Buffalo and Erie County Local Food Action Plan (BECLFAP), adopted in 2020,  is a framework for Buffalo and Erie County to build a prosperous local food system. The Plan identifies six priority areas and key actions to help support our goals, but we need your help prioritizing these goals.

The plan seeks to support and provide a framework for a local, healthy, equitable, and prosperous food system for Buffalo and Erie County. A food system, as described, cannot be achieved without collaborative work from local government, businesses, organizations, and the residents of our region. The BECLFAP represents a framework for these entities to play a role in bettering our regional food system. This Executive Summary offers a high-level overview of the BECLFAP.
