COURSE DESCRIPTION: The rapid growth of bicycles with electric assist (E-bikes) and electric scooters (E-scooters) presents challenges faced by law enforcement when encountering these devices. This lecture will discuss E-Mobility prosecutions in New York State, including how they are defined, age restrictions, required equipment, charging challenges, and issues related to fourth amendment. Additional legal updates will be discussed, time permitting.
