VACANCY NOTICE
Department & Location: Erie County Senior Services, 95 Franklin Street, 13th Floor, Buffalo, NY 14202

Title of Position: Administrative Clerk (Provisional)
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm
Starting Annual Salary: $49,379 (for new county employees) $49,379 - $60,884 (for current county employees) (CSEA Job Grade 7)
*Please note that this position is a competitive civil service title and will require a civil service examination in the future. After the exam, selection for permanent appointment(s) will be made from reachable candidate(s) on the eligible list according to the NYS Civil Service Rule of Three.
Minimum Qualifications:
A.) Possession of an associate degree in Business, Accounting, Liberal Arts, Office Management, Secretarial Science, or a closely related field, and two (2) years of clerical experience, at least one (1) year of which must have included supervisory responsibilities; or:
B.) Four (4) years of satisfactory business or office experience, at least two (2) years of which was in a clerical position and one (1) year of which must have included supervisory responsibilities; or:
C.) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
Note: Possession of a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or other closely related field may be substituted for all of the generalized experience. However, no substitution for the required one (1) year of clerical experience which must include supervisory duties is permissible.
