JOB GROUP & SALARY SCALE:                15 - $86,904 – $112,235

*Please note that this position is a competitive civil service title and will require a civil service examination in the future. After the exam, selection for permanent appointment(s) will be made from reachable candidate(s) on the eligible list according to the NYS Civil Service Rule of Three.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Possession of a PhD degree in Anthropology and two (2) years of experience performing in-depth skeletal trauma analyses in a forensic setting; and

 B. Possession of a Master’s degree in Anthropology and five (5) years of experience performing in-depth skeletal trauma analyses in a forensic setting.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

•  Board certification in forensic anthropology or the ability to sit for the board examination within 3 years of hire preferred; and
•  Possession of a New York State Driver’s license at time of appointment and throughout period of employment.
