TITLE OF POSITION: CLERK TYPIST
LOCATION: OFFICE OF CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT
JOB GROUP: 1 ($37,881 STARTING ANNUAL SALARY)
THE ERIE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES IS SEEKING CANDIDATES WITH THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:
Good knowledge of office terminology, procedures and equipment; working knowledge of business arithmetic and English; working knowledge of the functions and organization of the agency to which assigned; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions: ability to write legibly; dependability; clerical aptitude: tact and courtesy; physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma including or supplemented by a course in typing.
NOTE 1: Office clerical experience, including typing, may be substituted for the high school requirement on a year for year basis.
NOTE 2: Verifiable part-time and/or volunteer experience will be pro-rated toward meeting full-time experience requirements.
NOTE 3: Possession of an Associate’s degree or higher, can substitute the required typing course.
Candidates must also take the Civil Service Exam once it is announced and be reachable to maintain position.
