TITLE OF POSITION:        Coordinator, Adult Single Point of Access & Accountability

TYPE OF POSITION:         Provisional (Permanency pending civil service exam)

EXAM TYPE:                       Open Competitive (open to the public, exam required)

LOCATION:                         95 Franklin Street, Buffalo

SHIFT:                                   Monday – Friday, days

SALARY:                              Starts at $69,622

The work involves providing clinical support and oversight to the Erie County Department of Mental Health's Adult Single Point of Access & Accountability (SPOA) including Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) of Kendra's Law.  The incumbent is part of an administrative team and assists in the integration of the forensic mental health service, care coordination, reentry initiatives, and housing.  Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Assistant Commissioner of Mental Health.  Supervision is exercised over the Assistant Coordinators - Adult Single Point of Access and Accountability and support staff.  Does related work as required.  

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree* in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling and four (4) years of experience working with individuals who are high risk and high need with a serious mental illness, and at least two (2) years of behavioral health administrative experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Possession of a Master’s degree* in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or Rehabilitation Counseling required within a year of permanent appointment.

You must pay the required evaluation fee.

 

Candidates must be legal residents of Erie County at the time of Provisional appointment,

for at least one month immediately preceding the date of the written test, AND

at the time of Permanent appointment.
