ELECTRONICS INSTRUMENTATION MECHANIC
SALARY: $47,942 - $59,109

The Erie County Division of Sewerage Management (DSM) in the Department of Environment & Planning is seeking an Electronics Instrumentation Mechanic that will be responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining various types of electronic equipment in a sewage treatment facility. Typical work activities include maintaining and repairing a variety of electronic equipment and instruments found in a sewage treatment facility; testing new equipment for accuracy in operation and making adjustments where necessary; diagnosing problems in electronic and electrical circuits and repairs.
Required Skills and Abilities: Good knowledge of the tools, terminology, procedures and equipment of electronics; good knowledge of the installation and maintenance of electric equipment; able to read and interpret electrical diagrams and drawings.
Minimum Qualifications: A) graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered two (2) year college/university majoring in Electronics and two years of satisfactory experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of electronic equipment; or B) graduation from or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and four years of satisfactory experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of electronic equipment; or C) a combination of training and experience equivalent to the limits set by (A) and (B).
