VACANCY NOTICE
DEPARTMENT: SOCIAL SERVICES
TITLE OF POSITION: ENERGY CRISIS WORKER #2 FULL-TIME (One vacancy)
LOCATION: HEAP (460 MAIN ST)
JOB GROUP: 5 ($21.16/HOURLY)
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:
- Reviews, investigates, evaluates documents for eligibility determination of applications for assistance with fuel bills;
- Interviews applicants for the Emergency Crisis Assistance Program;
- Assists in completing applications - gathers verifications needed;
- Makes necessary determinations on each application and forwards to supervisor for approval.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from a standard senior high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma; and:
A) Completion of one (1) year of study at a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university; or:
B) One (1) year of office clerical experience which involved public contact; or:
C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).
Note: Verifiable part-time and/or volunteer experience will be pro-rated toward meeting fulltime experience requirements.
