FORENSIC LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

TITLE OF POSITION:                  FORENSIC LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

SHIFT:                                            7:30am - 3:30pm

ANNUAL STARTING SALARY:     $50,839 (Job Group 8)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:       

1. Graduation from a New York State or regionally accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in a natural science, a forensic science, an engineering science, biomedical technology, pharmacology, criminalistics or toxicology, including or supplemented by at least twelve (12) credit hours in chemistry; or:
    
2. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate’s Degree in a natural science, a forensic science, an engineering science, biomedical technology, pharmacology, criminalistics or toxicology including or supplemented by at least six (6) credit hours in chemistry and two (2) years of technical laboratory or technical medical experience; or:
    
3. An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).

NOTE: Verifiable part-time and/or volunteer experience will be pro-rated toward meeting full-time experience requirements.
