Rath Building Nights

Starting Annual Salary: $37,469 (Job Grade 4)

The Erie County Department of Public Works Buildings and Grounds division** is seeking an individual for work which involves supervising a cleaning staff engaged in building cleaning operations and when necessary, assisting in those cleaning activities. Work is performed under the direct supervision of a higher-ranking member of the department's administrative staff. Supervision is exercised over a number of Cleaners and Laborers involved in cleaning services. Does related work as required.

  • Supervises and instructs Cleaners and Laborers involved in the cleaning services of a county building;
  • Sweeps, wet mops and dries mopped floors;
  • Washes and stretches curtains;
  • Washes windows and polishes furniture;
  • Dusts woodwork, furniture and other articles;
  • Inspects building for cleanliness;
  • Requisitions, receives and distributes building cleaning supplies;
  • Maintains time sheets.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and one year of experience working as a Laborer.

NOTE: Verifiable part-time and/or volunteer experience will be pro-rated toward meeting full-time experience requirements
