TITLE OF POSITION: IMMUNIZATION SPECIALIST (PROVISIONAL*)
FULL-TIME/NYSNA
POSITION NUMBER: # 4772
JOB GROUP & SALARY SCALE: N1 (JG10) - $67,063 - $99,276 annually
*Please note that this position is a competitive civil service title and will require a civil service examination in the future. After the exam, selection for permanent appointment(s) will be made from reachable candidate(s) on the eligible list according to the NYS Civil Service Rule of Three.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A) Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and one (1) year of experience in the administration of vaccines, including DTaP, IPV, MMR, Hepatitis A and B, Hib, HPV, meningococcal, influenza and varicella, including six (6) months of supervisory experience; or
B) Possession of an Associate’s Degree or sixty (60) semester credit hours in Nursing and three (3) years of experience in the administration of vaccines, including DTaP, IPV, MMR, Hepatitis A and B, Hib, HPV, meningococcal, influenza and varicella, including six (6) months of supervisory experience; or
C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of A and B
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Possession of a current license to practice as a registered professional nurse in New York State.
2. Possession of a New York State driver's license and a car available for use.
3. CPR certified.
NOTE: Verifiable part-time and/or volunteer experience will be pro-rated toward meeting full-time experience requirements
