TITLE OF POSITION:                              LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST (ENVIRONMENTAL CHEMISTRY) 

POSITION NUMBER:   # 51017937 PROVISIONAL/PART-TIME (Up to 19 hrs per week)                                                                   

ANNUAL SALARY:              $25.192 - $31.835 per hour (Job Group 11)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A.) Possession of a Bachelor’s degree* in Chemistry; or:

B.) Possession of a Bachelor’s degree* in one of the biological or environmental sciences, which included 24 semester credit hours in chemistry, biological or environmental technical laboratory courses supplemented by one (1) year of experience performing laboratory work; or:

C.) Possession of an Associate’s degree* in Medical Technology or completion of 60 semester credit hours of college, which included 24 semester credit hours in chemistry, biological or environmental technical laboratory courses, in either case, this must be supplemented by two (2) years of experience in performing laboratory work; or:

D.) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B) and (C).

NOTE 1: Verifiable part-time and/or volunteer experience will be pro-rated toward meeting full time experience requirements.

NOTE 2: *Your degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized

agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education. If

your degree was awarded by an educational institution outside the United States and its territories, you must provide

independent verification of equivalency. A list of acceptable companies who provide this service can be found on the
