SALARY:    $46,546 - $57,387 (CSEA JOB GROUP 07)

**Please note that this position is a competitive civil service title and will require a civil service examination in the future. After the exam, selection for permanent appointment(s) will be made from reachable candidate(s) on the eligible list according to the NYS Civil Service Rule of Three.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A) Completion of a minimum of 60 semester credit hours at a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university and two (2) years of experience working with harm reduction or substance use disorder; or

 B) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and four (4) years of experience working with harm reduction or substance use disorder; or

C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).

Note: A Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for one (1) year of qualifying experience.

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Thorough knowledge of harm reduction and SUD services; good knowledge of community patient-centered services, including treatment, housing, mental health, and medical services; ability to design and conduct effective outreach events and activities; ability to establish and maintain cooperative and courteous relationships with clients and service providers; ability to communicate effectively; initiative; dependability; capable of performing the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must possess a valid NYS Driver’s License and have automotive transportation available for use at time of appointment.
