JOB GROUP & SALARY SCALE: 13 - $69,622 - $89,263
*Please note that this position is a competitive civil service title and will require a civil service examination in the future. After the exam, selection for permanent appointment(s) will be made from reachable candidate(s) on the eligible list according to the NYS Civil Service Rule of Three.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Possession of a Master’s Degree in education, clinical specialty or other related fields of study, and five (5) years of experience as a Paramedic.
The candidate must be a NYS Certified Lab Instructor (CLI) and Certified Instructor Coordinator (CIC).
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The candidate must possess NYS Department of Health EMT - Paramedic certification at the time of application and maintain such certification for the duration of employment.
The candidate must possess certification in American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Life Support (ITLS) (or equivalent) at the time of application and maintain such certification for the duration of employment.
The candidate must possess a valid CPR certification at the time of application and maintain such certification for the duration of employment.
Within 12 months, the candidate must possess Instructor certification in American Heart Association: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Life Support (ITLS) (or equivalent) at the time of application and maintain such certification for the duration of employment
