SHIFT: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
TITLE OF POSITION: Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator (Temporary*)
POSITION NUMBER: # 51016735
JOB GROUP & SALARY SCALE: 09 - $52,399 - $66,217
*This position will be a temporary appointment and is subject to civil service examination at a future date.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A.) Possession of Bachelor’s Degree in a health or human service field and three (3) years of experience in public health education, managed health care field or emergency management position and one (1) year of which must have included experience in receiving, distribution, warehousing, wholesale, logistics, supply chain, materials management processes, inventory processing or control, front-end retail coordination or other comparable service line, of which included experience in utilizing electronic data management applications**; or
B.) Completion of 60 credit hours in a health or human service field and five (5) years of experience in public health education, managed health care field or emergency management position and one (1) year of which must have included experience in receiving, distribution, warehousing, wholesale, logistics, supply chain, materials management processes, inventory processing or control, front-end retail coordination or other comparable service line, of which included experience in utilizing electronic data management applications**; or
C.) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must complete the following National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) training courses within six (6) months of appointment:
An Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS 100)
An Introduction to the National Incident Management System (IS0700) National Response Framework,
An Introduction (IS0800)
Must complete NIMS Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response (IS0200) course within one year of appointment;
Must possess and maintain a valid New York State Driver’s License and have a car available for use.
NOTE 1: **Electronic data management applications, for purposes of qualification, include Microsoft Excel, SAP and any similar types of electronic applications used by the candidate to store and track materials in the supply chain.
NOTE 2: Verifiable part-time and/or volunteer experience will be pro-rated toward meeting full-time experience requirements.
