TITLE OF POSITIONS: RECREATION ATTENDANT
POSITIONS: SEASONAL- Full Time & Part Time
SALARY: $16.00 HOURLY
DISTINGUISHING FEATURE OF THE CLASS:
Seasonally performs routine work in patrolling a County golf course to facilitate orderly play. This is routine work requiring the ability to deal courteously, but firmly with the public in maintaining safety and order and to prevent violation of the rules and regulations governing the course. Supervision is received from an administrative employee for assignments and review of work. Does related work as required.
FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Thorough knowledge of rules governing play on a County golf course; Working knowledge of methods used in collecting, recording and safeguarding cash; Ability to size up a situation and take effective course of action; Ability to deal courteously, but firmly, with the public; Tact; Alertness; Ability to follow instructions; Physically capable of performing essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of elementary school course and one (1) year of experience in working with the general public; Incumbent should have some knowledge of the game of golf.
