TITLE OF POSITION: SENIOR CLERK
LOCATION: OFFICE OF CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT (OCSE)
STARTING ANNUAL SALARY: $40,745 (JOB GROUP: 3)
The work involves the performance of a variety of clerical duties of average difficulty. The incumbent examines and verifies records, compiles reports, maintains files, posts, performs simple mathematical computations, maintains payroll and attendance records and acts as a receptionist. Work is performed under the supervision of a higher-ranking employee, with leeway allowed for the exercise of some independent judgment. Supervision may be exercised over lower-level clerical personnel. Does related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must meet the following requirements on or before the date of the written posting: Graduation from a standard senior high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and one year of office clerical experience.
Candidates must also take the Civil Service Exam to be held at a later date and be reachable to maintain position.
NOTE 1: Additional office clerical experience, beyond the one-year requirement, may be substituted for a high school graduation on a year-for-year basis; and completion of a post-high school secretarial course, of at least one year's duration, may be substituted for the required office clerical experience.
NOTE 2: Verifiable part-time and/or volunteer experience will be pro-rated toward meeting full-time experience requirements.
