   SHIFT:                                                     M-F: 8:30am - 4:30pm

 SALARY :              $59,024 - $74,938 (JOB GROUP 10)

*Please note that this position is a competitive civil service title and will require a civil service examination in the future. After the exam, selection for permanent appointment(s) will be made from reachable candidate(s) on the eligible list according to the NYS Civil Service Rule of Three.

The work involves responsibility for the day-to-day public health preparedness and response activities related to the Strategic National Stockpile program. The incumbent develops the County SNS plans, including operational protocols & procedures. Work is performed under the general supervision of an administrative employee. May exercise some supervision over lower level or clerical staff. Does related work as required.

                                                                      

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  1. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years’ experience in emergency preparedness or public health; or:
     
  2. Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and four (4) years of experience in emergency preparedness or public health; or:
     
  3.  An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.

NOTE: Verifiable part-time and/or volunteer experience will be pro-rated toward meeting full-time experience requirements.
