Note: To: Officer, Employees, Candidates for Public office, and members of Boards that serve Erie County.
You are required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement to the Erie County Board of Ethics for each year that you serve Erie County. The Financial Disclosure Statement for each year of service (from January to December) are due the following May 15th .
Even after you leave your position, you are required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement to the Erie County Board of Ethics on May 15 for any year or portion thereof that you worked for or served the County of Erie.
For example, if you leave your position in March of 2026, you will be required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement both on May 15, 2026, for calendar year 2025 and on May 15, 2027, for the three months you worked in calendar year 2026.
The Board of Ethics will provide you with the Financial Disclosure Statement form.
Accordingly, please ensure that the Erie County Board of Ethics has a current email and/or postal mailing address upon your departure from your position to ensure your receipt of the Financial Disclosure Statement form as your failure to submit it will constitute noncompliance and may result in penalties as set forth in the Erie County Code of Ethics.
