Erie County Sewer District No. 3 will be embarking upon a major expansion of the Southtowns Advanced Wastewater Treatment Facility (AWTF). The below document provides an overview of this multi-phase construction project – estimated to exceed $100 million – that will continue Erie County’s commitment to protecting public health, protecting the environment, and supporting the needs of the local community for decades to come.
An in-person open house for the upcoming Southtowns AWTF Expansion project, followed by a tour of the work areas, is scheduled for the afternoon of May 31, 2023 at the AWTF. An option to join the open house (only) portion of the meeting via Microsoft Teams will also be available.
