Art Dialogue Gallery, located at Five Linwood Avenue, is pleased to be presenting an exhibition of new paintings by John Schweikhard.
A meet the artist reception will be held on Saturday, November 21 from Noon to 1:30pm. The exhibition will be on view through Friday, January 15, 2027.
This exhibit is highlighting Buffalo and Western New York scenes, a particular favorite of the artist. He depicts a romantic view of the urban landscape, often only as seen by the artist.
About the Artist:
John Schweikhard (American, born 1937) is a self-taught Western New York artist who is known for his oil paintings of urban landscapes, cityscapes, industrial and railroad scenes, harbors, and genre scenes that focus on Buffalo and Western New York. John was born in Buffalo in 1937, and during the course of his life he has worked as a professional photographer, and since 1977 he has owned his own sign painting business located in South Buffalo, NY. John took up painting later in life and his works feature elements of impressionist and expressionist styles that covey strong dynamic images within his compositions. John is a member of the WNYAG and is represented by Art Dialogue Gallery.
