Erie County Arts & Cultural Advisory Board (EACAB) seeks new members

Erie County's award-winning Cultural Funding Program supports the nonprofit cultural

sector. The Erie County Arts & Cultural Advisory Board (EACAB) actively recruits community-minded

individuals to serve on the Board.
The ideal applicant resides in Erie County, desires to

support the well-being of the arts and cultural sector, and has professional experience in fields

such as accounting, finance/banking, education, arts and culture, law, workforce development,

tourism, strategic planning, philanthropy, or nonprofit management.

Most of our work is in reviewing grant applications submitted by local nonprofit arts

&/or cultural organizations. This work requires attention to detail and is a significant time

investment during the second quarter of each year.

Candidates must be willing to take an active role in the work of the Board. Individual

skills that will benefit EACAB include analytical thinking, financial acumen, the ability to read

financial statements and evaluate budgets, nonprofit management experience, good written

communication, and the ability to fulfill independent assignments. Training, reference, and

review materials are provided.

Board member terms are three years, beginning January 1. At a minimum, the Board

meets 4 times a year. Additional information is available in the "Background" tab. Please review

the Board Member "Duties Description." Board membership is subject to county policies and

procedures and the Board's Conflict of Interest Policy.

We encourage any Erie County resident interested in supporting our county's thriving

arts/culture sector to submit their resume by November 30, 2022 to Mariely Ortiz, Senior
