1 Niagara Plaza, Room 125

Buffalo, NY 14202

The Youth Bureau Juvenile Diversion Program is a collaboration with the Juvenile Diversion Services Team (JDST), represented by staff in the Departments of Probation, Mental Health and Social Services. JDST is charged with working with JD, PINS, and other youth involved in the juvenile justice system and engaging in service planning with the youth and their families to maximize diversion efforts. Staff may also screen youth returned to Family Court on AWOL warrants for possible pre-court release. Juvenile Justice Counselors work collaboratively with Probation and Mental Health as part of the Juvenile Diversion Services Team on this program.

Parents/guardians directed to this office will be provided with information regarding the youth’s referral for program participation, release from custody or further detention.
