2025 Municipal Survey Out Now!

The Lake Erie Watershed Protection Alliance (LEWPA) is conducting a new survey of municipalities within the New York State Niagara River/Lake Erie Watershed, which are in Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, and Erie counties. The results of this 2025 survey will be used to inform the development of the Watershed Management Plan, prioritize resources, and pursue funding opportunities for implementation of water quality improvement/protection and resiliency projects.

Municipal representatives can access the 2025 Municipal Survey here to share water quality priorities. It should take about 10 to 15 minutes to fill out depending on how many potential water quality projects you wish to add. You can always email Joanna.Panasiewicz@erie.gov with your water quality project ideas you wish to include in the Watershed Management Plan, which may make the projects eligible for additional grant funding.
