Emergency Preparedness

The ECOHE, in partnership with the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County, assembled and distributed emergency kits to improve emergency preparedness among Erie County residents. To ensure the emergency kits reached those who needed them most, the ECOHE worked with trusted partners within the Erie County community to distribute kits to residents. Kits were distributed throughout Erie County with a focus on distributing kits to areas that were severely impacted by the December 2022 blizzard. Kits included basic emergency preparedness supplies,such as hand crank flashlights, power banks, mylar blankets, first aid supplies, whistles, emergency food samples, Narcan, and an emergency information packet (linked below).
