Teen Wellness

What are Teen Wellness Nights?

Teen Wellness Night is a special after-hours event at the Erie County Family Planning Center designed to make it easier for teens—and anyone with a busy daytime schedule—to access confidential and affordable care. These evenings feature express services in a welcoming environment, offering things like birth control, STI testing, and health education. While the focus is on making services more accessible for teens, all clients are welcome during these extended hours.

When are Teen Wellness Nights?

Express services available every Wednesday until 6pm! This includes STI screenings, pregnancy testing, and emergency contraception. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are accepted.

How much do services cost?

  • All Erie County residents are seen regardless of ability to pay.
  • Most NYS insurance is accepted for payment. If using insurance, costs vary by plan.
  • If not using insurance, and/or using Family Planning Benefit Program (FPBP), costs are based on a sliding-scale fee of $0-$55
    • FPBP is a public health insurance program for those who may not be able to afford family planning service, and/or for those needing a private and confidential provider.

Is it confidential?

In NY state, you have the right to private reproductive healthcare without a parent’s permission. If you do not want services billed to your parent’s insurance, you can apply for the Family Planning Benefit Program to have your services covered under “good cause” with no documentation required.
