Public Notice: Avoid Duplicate HEAP Applications
We anticipate HEAP to open on November 1, 2024. Duplicate applications cause significant delays in processing for Erie County Department of Social Services (ECDSS) staff.
If your SNAP or Temporary Assistance case was active in September 2024, you may be automatically eligible, and your HEAP benefit will be generated without the need for a new application.
