In response to the recent uptick in "skimming" incidents involving benefits from EBT cards, the Erie County Department of Social Services is advising those in our local community on related items.
Federal authorization to replace electronically stolen Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits ended on 12/20/24. Local social service districts are not allowed to issue SNAP replacement benefits for theft that occurs on or after 12/20/24.
