The Green Team and LMHF are exited to announce free Reddy Bikeshare Membership for Erie County employees. This initiative will provide a healthy, active opportunity for employees and in some instances will reduce vehicle trips and climate pollution. As part of this initiative a new Reddy rack was installed in front of the Rath Building. Employees who sign up will also receive a free bicycle helmet.
In order to register for Reddy Bikeshare, Erie County staff need to download the Social Bicycles app to their cell phone using their county email address. The $40 membership cost is waived, but you must use a credit card to register for Reddy to cover program fees. The fee to ride a traditional Reddy bike is $0.01 per minute, and the electric bike fee is $0.10 per minute. Free helmets are only available to staff who verify they have registered for Reddy Bike.

How to Participate
- Read the Erie County Reddy Instructions and FAQ to learn about the program.
- Go to the Reddy Bikeshare website for additional information about the program.
- To receive a helmet, email your registration confirmation to sustainability@erie.gov. One helmet per staff, and helmets are only available while supplies last.
- Note that membership is free, but for use of the Reddy Bikes requires a credit card and a $0.01 per minute fee for a traditional bike. Electric bikes cost more, and if you do not return the bike to a Reddy rack you may incur additional fees. See the Reddy website for details.
