Location: Chestnut Ridge - Meet at the Deputy Commissioner's Cabin

  • At over 1,200 acres, Chestnut Ridge Park is Erie County Parks’ largest park which is characterized by its many ravines with hardwood forests between them. Join one of our knowledgeable Park Rangers and explore two of the Park’s beautiful trails (the Cross-Country Ski Trail and the Reservoir Trail) to learn about the plants, mammals, birds, and trees that call the park home.
  • Meet at the Deputy Commissioners Cabin

Location: Como Lake - Meet at the Como Lake Lighthouse

  • Como Lake Park is characterized by the Como Lake Lighthouse overlooking Como Lake, a man-made lake on Cayuga Creek. This lovely lake is a great place to learn how to fish. Join the Park Rangers as they do their “Fryday” Fishing program on a Saturday. This is a great opportunity to learn the basics of Fishing.

History Tour- Akron Falls Park (7/30/2022)

Location: Akron Falls - Meet at the Tennis Courts

  • As one of our Heritage Parks, Akron Falls Park has a long, interesting, and mysterious history. Join one of our Park Rangers to get a snapshot of this history, from important events that happened near the park and maybe even why the park is famous. The Tour will end with learning all about Murder Creek while viewing one of Erie County’s best sights, Akron Falls.
