Wake Up! - Ellicott Creek Park - 4/2/23

Believe it or not, spring has partly sprung. In this program we will take a walk from the casino in beautiful Ellicott Creek Park to look at signs of plants and animals emerging from winter dormancy. Can turtles really breath through their butts? Join Ranger Roy and find out!

All About Astronomy - Emery Park - 4/21/23

Join Ranger Nikki to explore the sky above. Learn about the stars we observe most often in our night sky and catch the beginnings of the Lyrids Meteor Shower. Expect a short presentation and dress warm... we will be outside looking up at the stars to find our favorite constellations and hopefully a meteor or two!

Spring Flowers - Como Lake Park - 5/14

Watch the grass grow, trees bud, and flowers bloom along Cayuga Creek at Como Lake Park with Ranger Adam, as we discuss how our parks return to a state of growth and renewal each Spring. This easy hike is a great event for the beginner plant-lovers and bird-watchers alike!

Intense Hike - Franklin Gulf - 6/4

Join Ranger Roy for a strenuous hike on some of Franklin Gulf Park’s eleven marked hiking trails. After a quick review of hiking basics and the 10 Essentials we will take on a hike of 5+ miles on challenging terrain. This hike is best suited to people in good physical condition with some hiking experience.
