Let's Hike -Sprague Brook 10/16/22


Location: Sprague Brook - Cross Country Ski Warming Hut (near lower camping loop)

Join Erie County Park Ranger Roy for vigorous and hilly hike in beautiful Sprague Brook Park. After a quick review of hiking basics and the 10 Essentials we will take on a hike of 5+ miles on challenging terrain.  This hike is best suited to people in good physical condition with some hiking experience.

Emery's Wonderful Waterfalls - Emery 10/23/22


Location: Emery Park - Parking lot near baseball field

Come join Ranger Stephanie and take a look at Emery’s waterfalls in the beautiful autumn foliage. Bring your camera, dress warmly, and bring a hot drink while we take a casual stroll through Emery. We will talk about how these waterfalls are made and the importance of the Cazenovia Creek watershed.

Let’s go exploring for some fun-guys with Ranger Stephanie. This program is made for novice mushroom seekers but folks with expert mushroom hunting status are more than welcome to join. We will be traveling through coniferous, lawn, and upland deciduous habitat to look for a wide array of mushrooms. We will discuss special adaptations these fungi possess and their importance in keeping our forests healthy!
