Pints in the Parks is a partnership between local breweries and the Erie County Dept. of Parks to offer fun, free, family-friendly "beer garden" style pop-up events in parks throughout the County in the summer. Events are free of charge, family-friendly and comply with all Erie County and NYSLA regulations/ permitting guidelines. 

A portion of all sales are donated to The Erie County Parks Donation Account to support free, public special events and programs.

Eternal Flame Trail Hike Series ~ Chestnut Ridge Park ~

Location: Chestnut Ridge - Eternal Flame Parking area off of Route 277

Come Join a Park Ranger and hike the world-renowned Eternal Flame Trail at Chestnut Ridge Park. This will be a fun-filled educational hike that will take you to the natural phenomenon known as the Eternal Flame! Learn about hemlock forests, local wildlife and more!

 

  • Meeting Location: Eternal Flame Parking area off of Route 277 https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZhbJVUkFww9Q8icC7
  • Duration: 1 – 1.5 hrs
  • Elevation: Approximately 200 feet of elevation change; steep in areas
  • Distance: 1.12 miles
  • Surface Description: Mud/dirt/roots/water; this trail is very wooded and a portion of the hike will be within the creek
  • Equipment Needed: Sturdy waterproof shoes (or shoes you won’t mind getting wet) & drinking water
  • Optional – Hiking poles
  • Equipment Other: This event and area is dog friendly (on a leash); this hike is not stroller or wheelchair accessible

Location: Emery Park - Drop off/pick up location is at Shelter #2

  • Activities near drop-off: Accessible playground, tennis/pickleball courts, hiking trail, waterfall, and disc golf

Family Fishing ~ Seneca Bluffs Natural Habitat Park ~

Come Join a Park Ranger and learn how to fish! This fishing program that will teach young park users and their parents/guardians the basics of fishing! Learn how to cast, bait a hook, set the hook, safe handling, and fish identification! Don’t have fishing gear? The Rangers will have rods and reels available for kids to use, as well as bait (worms and corn). This program has received an exemption from the NYSDEC, and all kids and parents/guardians registered for the program will qualify for free fishing (no fishing license required) for the duration of the program.

- Meeting Location: Seneca Bluffs Natural Habitat Park Parking Lot

- Duration: 1.5 hrs

- Elevation: Flat – There will be an approximately 0.2-mile hike to the fishing area

- Surface Description: May be muddy near water

- Equipment Needed: We strongly encourage everyone to bring their own fishing rods and reel. Park Rangers have approximately 15 rods and reels that may be used for those who do not have their own gear.

- Equipment Other: Please refrain from bringing dogs; this program not stroller or wheelchair accessible

Discover Emery! Pints in the Park w/42North

Location: Emery Park - Amphitheater

Discovery Emery in partnership with 42 North Brewing Company! Come out to the newly restored, historic Emery Amphitheater for a day of live music, food, local brews, vendors, and more and enjoy the beauty that is Emery Park. 

Due to limited parking, this event will be ticketed and tickets will be capped as well. Purchase tickets at https://www.universe.com/events/discover-emery-park-festival-tickets-9KLPZ3.

Parking will be available at the top of the ski hill. Follow directions to the "Emery Park Black Diamond Disc Golf Course": https://maps.app.goo.gl/nBC5aLJBLzBBqCV66

 The event is a short walk through the woods from the parking lot and there are fun and drinks along the way!
