Elma Meadows Golf Course

Elma Meadows Golf Course

Elma Meadows Golf Course is a 6,700-yard par 70 course situated along Buffalo Creek in the Town of Elma and is laid out on some of the most elevated terrains of any golf course in Erie County.

Opened in 1959 and designed by William Harries and Russ Tyron, Elma Meadows is known for its long par 4s, including the recently extended 495-yard par 4 18th hole from the championship tee.

Grover Cleveland Golf Course

Grover Cleveland Golf Course is a 5,621-yard par 69 course located in the City of Buffalo.

It was the home of the 1912 U.S. Open and the only public golf facility in North America to be designed by two of the most famous golf architects of the early 20th Century, Walter Travis and Donald Ross. In 1910 Travis brought the course up to U.S. Open standards.  In 1917-18 Donald Ross redesigned the course. In 1947 the City of Buffalo transferred part of the course for a VA Hospital. Three holes and part of a 4th were lost and three new holes added. Nine of the “1912 U.S. Open” holes still exist; the course is noted for its challenging green complexes designed by Ross, including the 17th hole “Redan” style par 3, as well as its fescue rough that makes it reminiscent of courses on the British Isles.
