Pumpkin Compost Drop-Off Sites
This fall season, Erie County has partnered with Farmer Pirates Compost to provide county residents with the opportunity to properly dispose of their holiday-related organic waste, most notably pumpkins!
Pumpkins will be collected for composting at seven locations throughout Erie County on the weekend after Halloween. Drop off your pumpkins at any of the following locations from 10 am on Friday, November 6th - 4 pm on Sunday, November 8th.

Pumpkins should not be bleached or painted, and should have candles or lanterns removed. Do you have other seasonal organic waste? While most locations are only accepting pumpkins, the Pelion Outdoor Classroom is additionally accepting corn stalks, hay bales, gourds, bagged leaves, and uncarved pumpkins at their driveway through December 5th.
