Veterans Affairs Caregiver Support Program

The Department of Veterans Affairs recognizes that caregivers are a valuable resource to our Veterans. Caregivers help Veterans maintain their quality of life and independence in the community. Most caregivers caring for seniors are seniors themselves, and are at risk for stress, burnout and feeling overwhelmed by the caregiving experience. The VA Caregiver Support Program promotes the health and well-being of family caregivers who care for our nation’s Veterans, through education, resources, support and services. Veterans must be enrolled in healthcare at the VA in order for their caregiver to access the services provided by the VA Caregiver Support Program.
