


Black Rock Canal Park (BRCP), formerly known as the Ontario Street Boat Launch and Cornelius Creek Park, was combined into one park in May 2013.
Located at 16 Black Rock Harbor, Buffalo, NY 14207, the park features a variety of activities. Visitors can walk, rollerblade or bicycle along the paved trail. Dog owners are able to take their dogs to the new off-leash Bark Park. There are also free boat launches for boats and jet skis.
Preliminary feasibility and design has begun for Phase 3, which is to be funded is thru a $700,000 Greenway Commission grant. The preliminary design is expected to be completed by end of April. Improvements will include work at the water’s edge near the boat launch and the existing pier area next to the boat launch. Final Design is expected to be completed by the end of July and construction is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2016.

Black Rock Canal Park Feasibility Analysis
The goal of the Feasibility Analysis is to evaluate proposed improvements to Black Rock Canal Park in the City of Buffalo. These improvements were outlined in a Concept Plan that was developed by the Black Rock Riverside Good Neighbors Planning Alliance.
The Analysis report, which was created by peter j. smith and company, inc., recently won a Western New York American Planning Association Implementation Award.
