Public Notice- Community Orders
Public Notice: Our fulfillment of orders may be slower than usual. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. You may also order harm reduction supplies through OASAS and/or MATTERS, and all pharmacies in New York State may dispense naloxone without a prescription through a standing order. For questions, please contact us at Harm.reduction@erie.gov.
Syringe Drop-off Notice: Syringe drop-offs at the Rath Building are available Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00–10:30, with additional hours on Thursday from 1:00–3:30. This does not include holidays or days county offices are closed. For coordination, contact Antonio at 716‑510‑1613.

Office of Harm Reduction Mission Statement
The Erie County Office of Harm Reduction is dedicated to improving community health by reducing the harms associated with substance use, as well as promoting dignity, autonomy, and safety among people who use drugs. Through evidence-based harm reduction strategies, peer-led and community-centered approaches, and compassionate engagement, we work to replace stigma with understanding, judgment with support, and addressing barriers with access. In collaboration with community partners, we meet people where they are and don’t leave them there by bridging gaps in services, advancing health equity, providing community education, and preventing overdose and infectious disease for Erie County residents.
