Jeremy C. Toth

Jeremy Toth was born and raised in Buffalo and is a product of public education going to Waterfront elementary school, City Honors High School, SUNY at Albany and SUNY at Buffalo for law school.  Upon graduation from law school, Toth went into government becoming the Chief of Staff of former Assemblymember Sam Hoyt.  From 2000 until 2006 he was a Project Manager for the United States  Department of Housing and Urban Development.  In 2007, after a brief period in the New York State Senate as Senator Marc Coppola's Chief of Staff, Toth opened his own practice specializing in family and criminal law for the indigent as well as working on a variety of civil matters.  In 2012, County Executive Mark Poloncarz appointed him to be the Second Assistant County Attorney.  He was promoted to First Assistant County Attorney in 2021 to supervise the litigation team.  After the departure of Michael Siragusa to the Court of Claims, Poloncarz appointed Toth as County Attorney effective August 29, 2022.
