John S. Cipolla, Esq. has been employed by the County of Erie as an attorney since April of 2000. He began his career in the Erie County Department of Law, serving as an Assistant County Attorney, in the office’s litigation unit from 2000 to 2006. From 2006 through 2018, he served as Counsel to the Erie County Department of Social Services where he worked in Family Court handling all aspects of child support litigation, and also served as a contract specialist for the Department. Mr. Cipolla is currently an Assistant County Attorney in the Family Court Division. He is responsible for the presentment of Juvenile Delinquency and Person in Need of Supervision petitions, including petition preparation, pre-trial hearings and motions, trials and dispositional hearings. He also represents the Department of Probation in Family Court proceedings. Mr. Cipolla graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pre-Law and a minor in Business. He received the degree of Juris Doctor from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law in 1998.
