The Erie County Department of Social Services' Emergency Services unit will be moving back to 460 Main St. - 2nd floor in downtown Buffalo effective September 1, 2026.
The Emergency Services unit includes such program areas as emergency back-owed rental arrears assistance, moving assistance and storage assistance, as well other related items. Emergency Services had most recently been located on the fourth floor of the Rath Building, and those seeking related services should continue to report to the 158 Pearl St. entrance to be directed to the fourth floor until 9/1/26.
