One class seminars
Boston Senior Center - April 15 from 10am to 12pm
William-Emslie YMCA - May 13 from 1pm to 3pm
Matter of Balance
This eight-class program is held once a week for two hours that covers topics including exercise, mindset, home safety, vision, tips from individuals with a shared concern, and much more. You will work with a group to overcome a fear of falling and learn how to protect yourself from falls!
The next sessions begins March 12th at Aurora Senior Center every Thursday from 1-3pm, and at Seneca Babcock Community Center every Monday from 10am-12pm.

Take a look at one of our classes:
Eliminating "Fall-Ty" Habits!
- Always have proper footwear
- Leave one arm free when carrying items to help stabilize
- Check in daily with friends, family, or neighbors (in person or by phone!)
- Be sure to take medications as prescribed at the correct times
- Talk about falls with your family and doctors
- Wipe up any spills quickly!
- Make sure to turn lights on when entering a dark room
- Use an elevator instead of stairs if possible
- Take your time when moving around the house!

Help teach older adults how to protect themselves from falls through topics like:
- Exercise
- Healthy Mindset
- Habit changes
- Home safety
- Much more!
Classes consist of 8 sessions, two hours each, with two instructors (sign up with a friend!)
To volunteer:
- Two- four hour training sessions
- Materials provided when teaching
- Teach at a location of your choice!
