RSVP connects adults 55+ with meaningful volunteer opportunities that fit their interests, skills, and schedule. With over 400 volunteers serving at more than 40 sites across Erie County, the program keeps older adults active and engaged through civic involvement and community service. Already volunteering? Even if your current placement isn’t an RSVP station, we can often recruit the site and include you—so your service hours count as part of the RSVP program. In 2025 alone, RSVP volunteers contributed more than 50,000 hours, saving the county approximately $900,000 in labor costs. Many volunteers have been part of the program for over a decade, reflecting a deep commitment to service and community impact.
How do I get involved?

- You will be contacted by our staff to schedule your orientation
- Once orientation is completed - you may begin/continue volunteering!

Communications
Our staff communicates with members through mass emails sent via Constant Contact. After you complete the registration form using an active email address, and receive either an initial email or phone call from our staff to schedule your orientation, you will be automatically added to our email list. Be sure to check your junk or spam folder in case our emails are filtered there. If you are not receiving mass emails from us, please let us know.
