Reentry Services are designed to help individuals that are released from jails and prisons to acquire resources that they need to be successful in the community.
The Erie County Sheriff’s Office in partnership with the Greater Buffalo Racial Equity Roundtable, an initiative of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, established this reentry resource center within the offices of the Erie County Department of Mental Health's Forensic Mental Health Services location at
120 West Eagle Street in Buffalo, called The ROC (Reentry Opportunity Center).
The ROC is a supportive, judgement-free place for individuals to access programs and services that empower them to stabilize community involvement and live a healthy, successful life.
The Reentry Opportunity Center is a “one-stop shop” reentry hub available to anyone in the community who is in need of linkage and support. Agencies are available onsite and by referral to assist in the following areas:
- mental health,
- behavioral health,
- substance use,

- health insurance,
- peer services,
- mentoring,
- employment,
- education,
- social security benefits,
