Chestnut Ridge Park's winter activities include Sledding, Skiing and Tobogganing when weather permits.
Please note that the sled/ski hill and toboggan chutes are groomed as necessary based on weather or use conditions. In the event of snowfall, preparing for winter sports is secondary to ensuring roads, parking lots and sidewalks are clear and safe for vehicles and pedestrians. In this event, the hill or chutes may not be open on time but will be as quickly as possible.
Sled Hill Hours
Daily 10AM-8PM
Sled Hill Rules
- Hours may change due to conditions
- Move quickly out of others’ paths and only use designated walkways up hill
- Inner tubes & plastic sleds ONLY
- Sled in a SITTING position facing forward
- No more than 2 persons on a sled; no interlocking of sleds downhill
- Building of jumps or ramps is PROHIBITED
- No pets allowed on hill during winter sports
Sledding is a potentially hazardous activity and is done at the individual’s own risk

Mon-Tues: Closed
Wed-Fri: 3PM-7PM
Sat-Sun, Holidays: 10AM-7PM
Outside of Tow Rope operational hours, skiing is still permitted so long as weather permits. Please follow sled hill availability for suitable conditions.
Ski Hill Rules
- Skiing and snowboarding ONLY; no sleds or other equipment permitted
- This is a public ski hill with users of all ages and experience levels
- Always stay in control and be able to stop or avoid other people or objects
- Do not stop while going down the hill
- Building of jumps or ramps is PROHIBITED
- Remain standing while using ski tow
Skiing/snowboarding are potentially hazardous activities and are done at the individual’s own risk
The Casino is open daily for restroom use only (indicated by red arrow).

Sat, Sun, Holidays: 10AM-4PM
Tobogganing requires different snow conditions and may still not be available
