Stay Fit Dining Program

Many older adults experience challenges in accessing healthy foods. To address this, the Department for the Aging offers the Stay Fit Dining program, which provides nutritious meals along with nutrition services that help older adults maintain their health and understand the value of proper nutrition.

The Stay Fit Dining program serves hot, nutritious noonday meals at various locations around Erie County, Monday-Friday and is available to individuals 60 years old or older. Participants must be 60 years of age or older and the suggested confidential contribution is $3.50. Download the dining site list.

Stay Fit Dining Frozen Congregate Meal Program - Ensuring that you or a loved one has nutritious meals available in the home when you need them. Meals are available in 3, 5, 6, 8 or 10-pack varieties with a small suggested contribution cost.

Home Delivered Meals - People 60 and over who cannot shop or prepare their own meals, often count on nutritious meals delivered to their homes five days a week. If you or someone you know, is unable to take care of meal preparation, a call to (716) 858-8526 can initiate an in-home evaluation for home-delivered meals as well as any other benefits or services for which the older person may be eligible.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) - SNAP benefits make it easier to put healthy, nutritious food on the table for everyone who qualifies. Our department's case management team assists people in applying for this benefit, and our nutrition team hosts informational sessions/workshops on how to best use your benefits.
