Did you know the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also known as Food Stamps, can help stretch your budget?
SNAP benefits make it easier to put healthy, nutritious food on the table for everyone who qualifies.

In New York State, more than one million adults age 60+ may be eligible for SNAP—but fewer than half are enrolled. If you’re 60 or older or have a disability, you may qualify if your household’s approximate gross monthly income is at or below:

  • $2,265 for a single person
  • $3,052 for a couple

The exact benefit amount depends on your household size, income, and expenses.

For help applying or to learn more, contact Erie County Department for the Aging at (716) 858-8526.

And remember—Erie County DFA Stay Fit Dining accepts EBT SNAP (Food Stamps) as payment at all 45 of our dining sites.
